Within the programme we will have special industrial sessions that aim to make recommendations for testing, chemical diversity, chemical libraries, drug screening and development, and will build international collaborations in order that natural products and nutraceuticals can take their place at the forefront of health care. As an international organisation, IUPHAR has made great progress on defining new strategies for Natural Products and Therapeutics and the conference will have representation from UK, Europe, Brazil, Africa, India, China, US and the FDA. The attached PowerPoint outlines the issues that industry representative will be invited to debate.
In addition to the programme of presentations, we have negotiated sponsorship to subsidise the attendance of SME’s to participate in the “Life Sciences Pavilion” (see attached), which includes full delegate passes and the opportunity to present a company “pitch”. We consider that this will be a historic conference that will stimulate discussion and result in the production of a number of recommendations that will influence the way forward for natural product and nutraceutical discovery - we hope to enlist the presence of representatives from AMT in order that they can have their say in these important developments.
